Who doesn’t love Trolls, Keren of Simply Perfect Events planned and designed a Trollstice themed birthday party for a sweet little two year old. Complete with colorful troll headbands and tablescape, this event was a hit for the toddlers in attendance who were able to sit on our pink Chiavari chairs. Mommy of the little princess, Sara Jane Mercer shared several pictures of the festivities on her blog Mercer + Green here.

Our favorite kid's party planner, the Party Muse, produced this classic Minnie Mouse party using our mini ghost chairs.
Khaliah, ever the inventive planner, created a donut wall using an acrylic slab in the shape of Minnie's head complete with a bow. It was bowtastic!
The kids tablescape was infused with polka dot and pops of pink for a classic Minnie look. Minted Feather created the placemats which were scripted to perfection.

Katrina of Katrina Gilbert Weddings + Events contacted us with a request for 40 Petite Seats, including custom colored mint chiavaris with pink and gold. Her theme was an over the top Kidchella themed event at the picturesque Abington Art Center. I was expecting to be blown away by the decor as the guest of honor is the daughter of undefeated welterweight champion Danny "Swift" Garcia. Indeed I was. Everything from the venue to the sweet treats were over-the-top.

After putting off birthday celebrations for my girls I broke down and hosted a mermaid party to commemorate their third and fifth birthdays. Yeah, I know the former event planner turned event rental proprietor who gets hives when it's time to plan a party. It's just overwhelming, especially with a newborn in the mix. It got done thanks to several of my friendor and business partner. Valerie, Petite Konfetti, was there to receiver all of my random Pinterest screenshots and ideas. Lina, Zoe and Pea, not only created the amazing desserts, she and her husband took pity on me and helped with setup! My sister-in-law was on hand to make everything run smoothly while I ran late. She helped me with setup and breakdown! My homegirl, Iris reminded me to take my hair bonnet off, thank goodness I took out my rollers prior to leaving my house. She was also the kids' craft station matron. Aida, Aida Malik Photography, masterfully captured the event. Kedby of Kedby's Kreations created the mermaid fin cakes to perfection. And Abby of Pretty Posh Design created the plush floral arrangements.
I was so overwhelmed I didn't have a chance to style their hair🙍🏾, hence the Afro Chic look.
Bonnie the Clown was excellent for entertaining and face painting.
In part two of this post I'll get into the details.
Maynoris of EMayLee's Party Decor used our pink and gold chiavaris for a Coachella inspired first birthday party. Complete with dream catchers, tee pees, and bow-n-arrows this super cute theme was Bohemian Chic. Check out the fabulous styling below.

Khaliah of the Party Muse is an expert when it comes to the styling and decor for children's parties. She used our mini ghost chairs for a dainty and super gorgeous ballerina birthday party. The setting for the party was an amazing contemporary ranch home right on the Hudson River in upstate New York.
This image is giving us so much LIFE! From the ballerina decals and tutus on the ghost chairs to the handwritten strolls on each centerpiece -- Mrs. Khaliah has taken care of every detail.
Can we talk about these flowers?! A M A Z I N G! Created by Tara of Barbara's Flowers in Harlem, NYC.
Tutus and peonies, a winning combination for an over the top kids celebration.
Khaliah shared these heartfelt words on IG after styling this event:
"I'm kind of obsessed with all things ballet lately! This party has me dreaming, I have to pinch myself and remember I styled it lol. Loving my own work has honestly been an uphill battle for me. Creativity is personal and to let people in enough to share it is a vulnerable thing. I NEVER take lightly that someone is trusting me with their memories or their money because parties ain't cheap! Every time I get a new client it's humbling, and I appreciate it so much. I have to remind myself daily to be thankful because this business is so tough ..."
Indeed this business is tough and we appreciate all of the wonderful inspiration the Party Muse provides us with each amazingly styled event.

It's been about two years since I have actively planned a full scale event. Can't say that I miss it. The hours of research, vendor chats, and budget management ... Nope renting chairs is much more conducive to my current lifestyle. My baby goddesses are turning 3 and 5. The eldest is "graduating" pre-school and off to kindergarten in September. I decided to commemorate these memorable occasions with a huge party this May.
So you want to plan an over-the-top party for your little one. You can do it yourself and stress about every little detail or you can give us a call. We, Petite Seats, will be launching a petite event planning/styling division in the spring. We call it Petite Konfetti. Be on the look out for announcements.
The first step in planning is doing research for design ideas... enter Pinterest. Once you have solidified your design choices then it's time to make the guest list.
Once the guest list and decor is set, finding and securing a venue that complements your design is critical. Set a date. Now shop around for vendors.
With the advent of Instagram, finding vendors is a lot easier. Examples of their work and client reviews are all in one place. For my little ones event I reached out to several of my favorite bakers, prop creators, stationery designers, and venues to receive quotes. For each category of vendor I created a mood board of the items I wanted included in a quote. Below are a few of my boards (images where taken from all over the web-- if you are interested in a specific picture leave a comment and I will send you the source).
Will definitely need two cakes and I love both these designs.
Part two of desserts...
Part two of stationery
All in all it's a tedious process and once the numbers roll in you have to decide how to maximize your budget to include all the elements of your design without breaking the bank. I will post updates of each of the design elements as I secure them. Until next time...
Khaliah of the Party Muse rented our clear chiavari chairs for her little ones first birthday. The theme was super inventive, a woodland Minnie Mouse party. The party was complete with a Minnie eared topped cake, blooming tulips, and a green moss table runner.

We had the pleasure of providing our mini ghost chairs for a party that could only be described as magical! Tricia Smith Brown, along with her team, produced an over-the-top first birthday extravaganza for the princess of the King of Basketball and his lovely wife, LeBron and Savannah James. The party was under a pink draped tent complete with pink carpet. The theme, "You Must Be My Lucky Star", was outfitted with celestial symbols and a soft girlie colorscape of metallics, blush, and pinks. Check out the awesomeness below.
Tricia is known for her use of multiple cakes displayed on elaborate dessert buffets. Zhuri's was no short of spectacular with five cakes, including her intricately designed smash cake. All created by Lovely Cakes based out of Stratford, Connecticut.
Now let's talk about the sweet treats... Cookies...Cake pops...ChocoOreos...Lollipops. Snickerdoodle Sweets and Events, based in Gilroy, CA, created the personalized cookies to complement the theme. Zoe and Pea, based out of Secaucus, NJ, designed and created the remaining sweet treats.
Ijorere the Invitation, Inc. masterfully created a stationery suite fit for royalty. The invitation itself had so many design elements...acrylic... engraving...gold mirror...die cut...foiling...glitter. Let's just say it was truly couture.
Our mini ghost chairs with a custom vinyl decal were the perfect complement for the custom rose and blush sequins linen from the Fininshing Touch in Hicksville, NY. Yes, those three little tables in the foreground of the top picture are the kids tablescape.😗
Last but not least, what's a party without entertainment. Prima ballerinas for this sweet first birthday.

Before launching Petite Seats we researched businesses that catered to special events for children. One business we were enamored by was the Pink Pastry Parlor (PPP). No longer in business, the second location of the PPP was based in Alpharetta, Georgia. It was a one-stop shop for exclusive girls' parties. Tiffany Young, the owner, starred in the OWN network's reality show called, "Party at Tiffany's". In spite of the show only being on for six episodes, viewers were given the opportunity to witness Tiffany and her team in action as they created one-of-a-kind events with lots of pink and oodles of fun.
The PPP was a girl's dream come true. Check out the various rooms in the venue:
